2010 Christian Historical Fiction Challenge

1. The goal is to read and promote Christian Historical Fiction by reading at least 24 titles. That is two per month, but anyone who wants to commit to more or less is welcome to join in on the fun. Anyone can join. You do not need a blog to participate. I have started a CHF Ning to promote discussions as well.

2. Audio, Re-reads, eBooks, and other formats are all allowed. As long as the book can by purchased it counts.

3. Feel free to list a proposed lists of TBR (to-be-reads) but you can also list them as you go.

4. Duplicates from other reading challenges can also count.

5. Challenge begins January 3rd through December 31st. Books started before count. *wink*

Sign up here!!

*Edited to add* The linkies I put up stopped working, so now I've added MckLinky instead sorry for the confusion!!

  1. Sounds like fun! I'm looking forward to it. Now what to read... Hmmm... :)

  2. Oh I have plenty of suggestions if you need them!

  3. I'm posting this on to my blog tonight! Count me in! Any suggestions on some Christian historical fiction? Will the Charles Towne Belle series count? I'm reading them now, The Red Siren , The Blue Enchantment, and The Raven Saint by MaryLu Tyndall!

  4. Kristinia - Yes, any of MaryLu's books definitely count. Need more suggestions? I'll get to get together some lists...

  5. Sweet! Another reading Challenge! ;) Thanks to Renee for sending me over.

LOVE your blog header, MJ! Is that the porch @ your new TN home??

    Happy 2010!
    ~ Lori

  6. Hah. Thanks Lori, my thumb is far from that green. That's my parents' porch in good 'ole Georgia (Gee orge eee ahhh) You know it. The house I lived in my entire life until college and marriage. I just love this picture and seeing it makes me want to sit there and read.

(The button picture is from my wedding day...)

  7. I've got one down and working on the second one!

  8. I'm likin' it! I'll be signing up. I also joined the ning.

  9. You don't have Lori Wick or Michael Phillips on your list :)

  10. I don't have a website for either of them.... I guess I could link to the publisher site, but if they publish from a different company ever...

  11. Ok. Found a suitable site for Michael Phillips...

  12. Yeah, the only one I know of for Lori Wick is the Harvest House publishing one...or wikipedia! LOL

  13. Thanks for this challenge! I'm very excited to get started. I've read one book so far - Distant Dreams by Judith Pella and Tracie Peterson. Great book but my library doesn't carry the third one in this series so I'm going to have to wait awhile to find out what happens!
